The Five-Tone Adjustable Siren
The Gorilla 7017 protects your bike with the power and volume of an adjustable 120db Piezo siren. Preset at the factory to emit five separate tones in sequence when tripped, this siren can also be quickly customized with a push a button to emit a single tone that you prefer. The easily installed siren accepts and stores over 500,000 possible code sequences randomly generated by this transmitter, and with convenience in mind can be used with up to three separate transmitters. Other valuable features include a false alarm circuit that can shut down the sensor registering the event after the fifth false alarm, preventing unnecessary battery drain, a panic feature which allows the transmitter to activate the alarm’s siren from up to 100 feet away in case of an emergency, and a LED light that serves as both a system status indicator and a visual deterrent to would-be thieves. The alarm also allows owners to choose from seven levels of sensitivity, which drastically reduces the chance of false alarms in busy and loud areas, without compromising security.

Powerful Triple Sensor Protection
Although the Gorilla 7017 is one of the most compact motorcycle alarm products on the market, it is also one of the most effective thanks to the strength and flexibility of its three built-in sensors. These include tilt, shock and current sensors. The tilt sensor, set while your motorcycle is at rest with its kickstand down, is designed to alert you when your bike is pulled upright while the alarm is set. The 7017′s two-stage shock sensor monitors any disturbance, jolt or impact to the motorcycle, indicating a light disturbance with a single sonic chirp, and stronger disturbances with an alarm for a full 30 seconds. Finally, the current sensor scans for anomalies in the electrical system that can occur, for example during a hot-wiring attempt, activating the siren in those cases.

The Added Security of Two-way Paging
Working in conjunction with a two-way antenna connected to your alarm, the 2-way pager included with the Gorilla 7017 Motorcycle Alarm is designed to alert you when any of the 7017′s sensors are activated. This includes the tilt, shock and current sensors, as well as any “Warn Away” shock events. This allows you to stay aware of what is going on around your bike from up to a 1/2 mile away. Just as with the standard remote transmitter, the 7017 system will accept signals from up to three pagers. Used in conjunction with your included standard remote transmitter, motorcyclists are ensured of maximum security, 24/7.

If you follow the directions closely, the installation should go fine. I spent more time trying to figure out where to locate the alarm than the actual installation took. Be sure to have all the remotes ready when the system is initially powered on so you can get them programmed on the first try. Once installed, I noticed that the motion sensor alarm was chirping several times during each cool-down period after I rode the bike and set the alarm. Not sure if this is typical of other users, but I ended up lowering the sensitivity to the middle of the seven step range as described in the directions. This seems to help prevent the inadvertent alarms but it does take a much stronger shake to get the alarm to go off now. Probably need to raise the sensitivity a notch or two. The range on the pager is probably more like a few hundred feet if you’re in a building next to the motorcycle. In an open area with scattered buildings it might be close to a quarter mile. The one feature I’d really like to see them add is a battery backup. Other than that I think it’s a great product, especially at this price point, and would readily recommend it to others.

This is a great alarm system for the price- very sensitive and easy to use. I had it installed by a mechanic who said that installation was not as simple as advertized on the box. On the other hand if you check out the youtube video, the guy there said that it took him about 15 minutes to install it. The Alarm has adjustible shock, tilt and circuit surge sensors all of which are very sensitive and work beautifully. Also, it comes with a pager that alerts you as soon as any of these sensors are activated. The only downside of this alarm is that it does not have back up power, which means that if the thief gets underneath the riders seat without activating the alarm and cuts of power cables, the system becomes useless. As I said before, this system pretty sensitive, so the thief will have to be very skilled.

Overall I’m very satisfyied with this product, given tha it cost only $140 and would highly recomend it.

Easy to install, some pieces of equipment are easier then others, however was able to find a solution.

Once installed, the only thing is programing your remote not all that difficult as well.

Great product which I would of purchased one sooner.

    Thanks
