Once I replaced the stock headlight bulb on my Yamaha RoadStar with a Sylvania Silverstar bulb, the bulbs in my passing lamps (highway lights) appeared even dimmer. These bulbs will match the intensity of your brighter headlight without straining your electrical system. They provide 70 watts of brightness while only drawing 35 actual watts. Plus, I don’t believe you will find these any cheaper anywhere else on line.
