I just bought this last Saturday from a guy who responded to my wanted ad from Craigslist. It is a 2003 with 500 miles on it which i purchased for $1500.00. I thought of getting a scooter like this for awhile. I wanted a good brand that was easy to get parts for, and was known to be reliable. You get what you pay for if you buy a cheap chinese scooter.
I am trying to get one but a 125 cause I like the pop up head light.
@eurostyl you’re a fucking idiot prick his talking was fine.
You can’t go wrong with a Honda scooter, I’ve a had a little 50cc Vision made in 1992 for a year nowm just about to to get a motorbike. But I’ve never had a problem with it, the nearest I’ve had to breaking down was a loose carb, and that was my fault. They are really well made machines.
@palo425 with that many miles that scoot is pretty much mint. Just a guess here, but i will say a maximum of 1800
can someone tell me how much one of these 2002 with only 39 miles cost?
Thanks!
@eurostyl making videos is very hard work. Obviously you do not know how i feel because you have no uploaded videos! Blocked!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
please atleast attemp to speak properly, i feel for the scooter
@sixstring2slim thanks for your sincere comment, and understanding. Unfortunately some narrow minded people keep saying that i paid too much money for my scoot. Of course their are some older Honda Elites with low mileage for sale on Craigslist which may be a better value, but parts age when the scoots sit. Tires dry rot, fuel systems gum up, and engine gaskets may age. Since i did not want any headaches buying an ancient scoot i bought a newer Honda. I did get my motorcycle endorsement.
Very nice Scoot man! I had the brother to this one.. a 2002 Honda Elite 80cc 750 miles on it, well taken care of too.. and you are right, it makes all the difference if the Scoot was owned by responsible people. You’ll have to go to my youtube page and see my old Honda Aero NH80 vintage 80cc …it’s a 2-stroke,. which is very unique and vintage looking and very quick from point a- point b Hope you did well and got your mC endorsement peace2fingers Carson
Tires new every 4 years.
I almost died on 7 year old tires that looked great.
Rubber gets hard after 6 years and becomes easy for a blow out.
20/20 did a show on Britian which makes tire safety law at a 6 year limit.
We need some sort of synthetic alternative, We have Synthetic Motor Oil, Penetrating oils, Hydraulic/Trans fluids and Bio Diesel. Why not gasoline?!
Yes of course because of the engine size. You do not need a motorcycle license if you have an engine under 49cc’s
do u still need a license for this if all your going to do is drive around the neighborhood in it?
Sweet ride dude! I’m in the market for the exact model but more in the 1990′s vintage. They’re difficult to obtain because fuel prices are going to hover around $3.00 a gallon and most folks like to keep them. You only need a M2 license for automatic scooters and the driving test is a breeze. Couple of figure eights and written test and you’ll be good 2 go!
Like a bonnet in Ferraris? How big is it?
@fxdrdnme there is a storage like a glove box
yeah you didnt get ripped craig
Well opinions are like assholes. In my opinion i think i did not get ripped compared to other scooters on CL with similar mileage. Finding a scooter like this with less than 600 miles that was owned by a responsible adult was a pretty good deal for $1500.00. You have to be careful of what you buy!
Wow, dude you got ripped!
Whats underneath the cover up front? Ive always wondered…..
On camera it does, but actually it is not that loud because ive heard two stroke scooters before.
that thing sounds like a 2-stroke when you ride it..
am a gs500 rider myself
If it is over 50cc, yes.
No doubt about it…the laws are a little more tight out here. I use to live in Detroit for a while and rode a suzuki GS 500, and had a Honda express 50cc for around town…WITH NO PLATE! I have to admit though…I was pretty stealth like on the Express, side streets only!!! Not for nothing…But your friend must be a pretty large dude, to make a 250 look like a 50!!! LOL….no disrespect my friend. Peace
